TEMPI MODERNI
MODERN TIMES
The speed increases and the Man can't keep up with him, he goes crazy not being able to realizing it. The metropolis has taken him away from nature; the man has lost the awareness of being part of a more complex "system".
Now man is an automaton at the service of profit, he lives in a continuous state of trance, in which social and political tensions, frustrations, deadlines but also images, sounds, noises, news and finally days, follow each other quickly settling on his skin .... inside each one of us, without even being aware of it.
Modern times is the difficulty of experiencing contemporaneity, but also the infinite possibilities that it offers us; man and his relationship with what inevitably surrounds him and with whom he comes into contact.
The contemporary art exhibition organized by Camaver Kunsthaus analyzes all these lacerating and deeply intertwined aspects of our daily life.
However, in this often chaotic and frenetic world, the figure of the artist is there as a witness of his (our) time. He has the task of translating through his artistic language what his own sensitivity manages to steal from the world all around.
The gears of his watch work at different rhythms from ours, the time for the artist is to look and not to observe to listen and not to hear to tell and not to say.
Through art we can enter into a dimensional bubble in which we can take back time: we can reflect starting from that emotion that has overwhelmingly invested us; we finally have the opportunity to let ourselves be struck by beauty and to discover its real value or, more simply, to let ourselves be fascinated and run away from the daily routine.
Modern times is an exhibition that speaks to man; of how it is a thermometer of our being, and at the same time it is the way to beauty: beyond aesthetics towards an attempt to harness that subtle and mysterious energy that leads us beyond matter beyond 'man.
Modern times is a synergistic exhibition, it’s image, it’s form, it’s a journey, it’ s getting angry, it’ s an expressive gesture, it is energy, it is the world of the mind.
But above all it is communication.
It will be enough to break down the distances and look with the eyes of the heart to let oneself be fascinated, to understand the energy that the colors and the forms transmit to us, to understand who we are, where we are and maybe even where we will go.
